is now online (pdf file) The CABIS AGM is on September 12, 2008. Have you ever considered becoming a CABIS Board Member? Why not try it as it can sometimes be a most fun and learning experience and also a chance to meet new and interesting people that help to shape and better our Society. The CABIS Board and Staff successfully completed a Strategic Planning Workshop that has resulted in a revised and inspiring clarification of the CABIS Vision, Mission and Goals. See the Spring Newsletter for more details. The annual CABIS Retreat is coming up. This year it is being held at Heritage Ranch on August 21, 2008  For our late CABIS member and Hostess "Nicole" "Thanks for coming into and touching our lives. Rest in Peace" Work on the Clubhouse Project continues to progress. Stay tuned. ______________________________________________________  Residents of Red Deer who are unable to afford the basic registration or activity fees for the Collicutt or the Rec Center are eligible to have their fees waived. Central Alberta Special Equestrians (CASE) is a non profit organization
which provides therapeutic horseback riding lessons for persons with
disabilities. They are located just west of Red Deer in the Shady Nook

at www.hoofbeats.org Got some spare time and energy? CABIS is always in need of volunteers to answer phones and do light office duties when Cathy is out and away at meetings. This might involve two or three hours a week. Call the office for more info. |
